The benefit to the community includes a modern, reliable, safe and secure drinking water system that will support population growth and economic development for the next 20 years.

Cost & Funding: Total estimated cost to construct: $62.5 million
Project Description: Approximately 32,000 vehicles use Exit 278 Aurora-Donald or travel past the ramps entering and exiting I-5. The volume of traffic, proximity of roads and access points and visibility issues cause congesting and safety concerns around the interchange. Phase 1A addressed some of these issues.

Phase 2 constructs the full diverging diamond interchange. This addresses the capacity issues by building an interchange that will work for years to come. The estimated schedule for construction is 2024-2027.
