Community Member of the Year

At the April City Council meeting, the Council honored Krista Fogelson as the 2025 Community Member of the Year in recognition of her many years of service to the Donald community. Krista has lived in Donald for 11 years. She and her husband, Ben, have five children, ranging in age from 6 to 15, whom she homeschools. Wanting to serve alongside her children, she began by organizing a children’s story time at the former community center. When that ended during COVID-19, she joined the Donald Beautification Group, which later became the Donald Festival Committee and has helped organize the Donald Daze Festival for the past three years.Krista stays busy with her family—especially driving her children to pursue their activities and interests, homeschooling and participating in church activities. She has enjoyed seeing the impact of her volunteer work and has made many friends through the people she’s met along the way. She encourages others to get involved and serve, noting that it has been a very positive experience for her.
